One of the most attacked and propaganda loaded secret power functions of the language. It is basically “goto” on steroids - it destroys the application context, replacing it with a saved application context from earlier in the application’s run. It is powerful, and dangerous in the hands of probably the majority of developers that have not worked in C/C++ for at least a half decade as a principal project lead. It is a grenade, and is only for extreme situations such as application panic and is used to try to restore context to a state that the application can save information for later recovery and analysis.
